After a difficult break-up with his boyfriend Hudson, Chris Pappas turned to random hook-ups to try and forget his problems, ignoring the judgemental attitude of his housemate Kate. After bumping into a guy at Harold's Store one morning, Chris then saw him again at Kyle's builder's yard. The guy, Marley, was making enquiries about a purchase and Kyle had gone to the office to find some price lists when Chris got chatting to Marley and asked if he'd like to get a drink later. Marley was quick to point out that he already had a girlfriend, and he left, losing Kyle a sale and making Chris feel a bit foolish.
