When Chris Pappas found himself in an argument with a drunk (and alcohol intolerant) Josh Willis, outside The Waterhole during Kyle and Georgia's joint hen and buck's night, Chris was determined to stop Josh from going back inside, as he'd reacted badly to the news that his ex, Amber was now engaged to Daniel. As they argued, a passing Tony Ronson stopped and tried to help Josh, feeling that he was being treated unfairly by Chris. Chris's boyfriend Nate quickly told Tony to get lost, and all of the men involved ended up being suspects when Chris was 'coward punched' later that night, and left seriously injured as he hit the back of his head on a rock.
