Following revelations about her secret affair with her teacher Angus Henderson, Rachel Kinski ran away from home, ending up sitting outside a café and nursing one cup of coffee all afternoon, as she had no other money. As it closed up, waitress Sally Upton spotted Rachel and, realising that she was alone and had nowhere to go, offered her the use of the café phone, though Rachel insisted that she was fine and didn’t need any help.
