After Hamish Roche was found dead in the spa at 26 Ramsay Street, both Tyler and Mark Brennan came under suspicion, with Mark's colleague, Senior Constable Fagan, telling him not to leave the area as he was a person of interest, as it wasn't that long since Hamish made a complaint of harassment against Mark. When the pathology report then made it clear that Hamish didn't die of natural causes, Fagan took Mark to the police station for a formal interview.

A couple of months later, Fagan was putting pressure on Constable Mishti Sharma, pushing her to take extra shifts, with Mishti desperate to prove herself in the job, worried that her colleagues didn't respect her after she'd taken indefinite leave earlier in her career. When Fagan then drove Mishti home after a night shift, they were surprised to see a fight breaking out on Ramsay Street and, not wanting to look bad in front of her senior, Mishti ended up arresting her brother-in-law, Shane Rebecchi.
