A friend and soccer teammate of Taj Coppin, Simon Ferguson couldn't resist cruel jibes at Taj when he started seeing the school counsellor, after witnessing an accident at the pool that left Lori Lee temporarily paralysed. Simon and his mates accused Taj of being a psycho and having his head shrunk, and later pinned a piece of paper saying 'psycho' on Taj's locker. When Taj found it and told Simon to grow up, Simon accused him of 'throwing a spasm' and tried to grab the note, but Taj told him to leave it there, as he wasn't ashamed of needing counselling. When Simon said that Taj clearly was a psycho, a fight broke out, but teacher Susan Kennedy ended it before sending them both to the principal's office.
