When David Tanaka was placed in Warrinor Prison on remand, awaiting his trial for medical manslaughter, his husband Aaron, brother Leo and father Paul visited him one day, horrified to see that he'd been badly beaten by some of the other prisoners. Paul was horrified, having paid prisoner Holden Brice to keep an eye on David and, after prison guard Mark Simpson announced that visiting was over and a clearly depressed David returned to his cell, Paul approached Mark and requested a visit with Holden. Mark explained that Paul was no longer on Holden's visitors' list and it quickly became clear that Paul had been double-crossed and that Holden had taken his money with no intention of helping David.
