After five years together, Tracey Slattery cheated on her fiance Stuart Parker with his best friend, and when Stuart caught them in bed together, he fled their home town of Oakey. He went to stay in Erinsborough with friend Drew Kirk, refusing to take any of Tracey's calls and gradually moving on with his life and finding new romance with nurse Dee Bliss. But when Tracey then turned up, looking for answers and a second chance, Stuart told her that he knew about her affair and demanded that she leave, but she refused to give up, handing him the number for the motel where she was staying. When Tracey then bumped into Dee in the Coffee Shop, they ended up having a chat, and Tracey explained that Stuart was the only man for her, and she couldn't imagine her life without him. Dee convinced Stuart to phone Tracey and talk things through, which he did, making it clear that he was moving on, though Tracey swore she wouldn't go back to Oakey without him. A few days later, she called by again and was upset to see him laughing and joking with Dee. She continued to refuse to leave, telling Stuart that it was just one mistake, but as he continued to ignore her pleas, she finally got the message, and he told her before she left that he didn't hate her, and they could still be friends.
