When aspiring musician Justine Spensley met children’s entertainer Ned Parker, who along with Karl Kennedy formed Oodles ‘o’ Noodles, she soon started trying to take over his career. Justine introduced Ned and Karl to booking agent Marty Sline, who she knew from her days singing in pub bands, and, after Marty had heard them play, Justine explained that he only wanted to sign up Karl as an adult contemporary artist, though Karl turned the offer down and it later proved to be a plot by Justine to try and get rid of Karl and have Ned to herself.
