Grant Stevens was the organiser of an illegal rave, held in a warehouse which had already been designated as unsafe by the council. Throughout the evening, journalists Elle Robinson and Riley Parker watched as Grant gave out drinks to underage partygoers and were almost spotted taking photos of the rave, but the night ended badly for everyone when the pillars supporting the roof gave way and the building collapsed, trapping dozens of young people and killing three.
