With a mysterious person pooping in the yards of Erinsborough residents, Dr Karl Kennedy found himself under suspicion, after his housemate Melanie Pearson noticed that the yards that had been targetted were on the cycling route that she and Karl had been taking and loudly voiced her concerns in the Waterhole. With Karl about to become the resident doctor and wellness expert at Terese Willis's retirement home, Eirini Rising, billboards were placed around town announcing this, one of which was sabotaged to change the ad from Dr Karl Kennedy to Dr Pooper. When Karl then took to the stage to make a speech at an event launching sales for Eirini Rising, one man in the crowd, Tony Teeling, took great pleasure in heckling Karl, making jokes about the rumours and causing Terese to eventually send Karl home, worried that his presence was beginning to harm her business.
