With Ned Willis suspected of killing Scarlett Brady, who'd been stalking him, his girlfriend Yashvi Rebecchi suggested that they should get married, using the wedding as a way to lure Scarlett out of hiding. With time running out for Ned to prove his innocence, a sham wedding was hastily arranged and publicised on social media, with Yashvi hopeful that it would draw Scarlett's attention. Alexis Trotter was then hired as the celebrant and family and friends gathered at the Erinsborough Pavilion for the ceremony, where eventually Scarlett turned up. Everyone was alarmed as she started running towards Yashvi with a jar of acid, but Levi Canning managed to stop her, causing her to end up spilling the acid onto her own face. After being treated in hospital, she was then charged for her series of crimes, with the police believing that she would most likely find herself in a secure psychiatric facility.
