After deciding to have a baby and co-parent, married couple Leo and Krista Tanaka and Nicolette Stone forged ahead quickly with their plan. Having suffered a miscarriage the previous year, Krista didn't want to carry a baby again, but Nicolette had already been pregnant with Isla, the daughter of Leo's late brother, David and his husband, Aaron. With Nicolette ready to be a mother again, the trio made a hospital appointment with Dr Nicola Tucker and, after it was explained to them that the chances of success on each cycle were around ten to twenty percent, they all agreed to keep a positive outlook before the first insemination went ahead.
