As Imogen Willis began her law degree at Eden University, she struggled to make friends, but hoped that attending a law society function would help matters. She attempted to engage the head of the society, Samantha Turnbull, in conversation, but quickly got the brush off when she mentioned that she'd attended Erinsborough High, and not one of the better schools in the area. Imogen's friend Tyler Brennan then approached her and told her not to worry, as she was far too 'hot' to be hanging around the dorks in the law society. Never one to give up easily, however, Imogen approached Samantha again later, asking her about her plans after her final year. Samantha explained that she was going skiing for a week, and would then start her new job at Bale Hoskins law firm, where her godfather had managed to get her in. Though Imogen thought it sounded like an amazing opportunity, Samantha was more interested in talking about the skiing trip, weighing up the pros and cons of Steamboat versus Whistler. As the conversation moved on to the minimum wage, Tyler stepped in and told Imogen that there was a call for her at the bar, before admitting that it had just been a ruse to save her from Samantha, as she'd looked so bored. Though Imogen insisted that she'd been enjoying the intellectual conversation, she was much happier to be dragged away by Tyler for chips and a game of strip poker.
