When Krista Sinclair went for a baby scan at Erinsborough Hospital, she was treated by nurse Emily Verhagen. After scanning, Emily confirmed that 'they' looked healthy, initially alarming Krista as she thought Emily was referring to multiple babies. Emily said that she was actually just unsure if Krista wanted to know the baby's gender yet, so she'd used the neutral term, but when Krista decided that she wanted to know, Emily confirmed that it was a girl. As Emily then left to give Krista a few moments alone with her boyfriend Leo Tanaka, Krista admitted that, if someone had told her a couple of years ago that she'd be pregnant, happy and settled, and no longer running away from her problems, she wouldn't have believed them.
