Whilst away on a boxing training boot camp at the beach together, Ned Parker and Janae Timmins were struggling with their feelings for each other and Janae reacted badly when she almost drowned and Ned reached in for a kiss, so relieved that she was alright. Later, at the campsite, Janae was jealous as she watched Ned befriend Karen, another girl who was camping there, little realising that Ned was just pretending that something was going on with Karen in the hope that it would cause Janae to open up about her feelings for him. The plan failed.
