After Brad Willis and Lauren Turner decided to search for their long-lost daughter, they went to Adelaide, following a lead from a private investigator. Looking for the address given for Mary Smith - the woman who'd supposedly illegally adopted their daughter - they were upset to find that the address they'd been given no longer existed. They spotted one of the neighbours, who said that he'd lived there for a while and there'd never been a house where they were looking for it, but the land had been owned by one lady, before it was sub-divided and the other houses were built on it. They realised that he was talking about Mary, and contacted their private investigator to see if she could find out where Mary had gone.
