When Harold Bishop started advertising the Coffee Shop as ‘Afro Harold’, rapping and wearing an afro wig, he became an overnight sensation and started giving talks at the local uni. His first public appearance, introduced by student Jay Willis, was a huge success, but a couple of weeks later, Jay was embarrassed when Harold tried to talk to the students about the evils of drugs and alcohol and got booed off the stage. Six weeks later, Jay was approached in the Coffee Shop by Izzy Hoyland, who attempted to chat him up by talking about surfing, but was left humiliated when he told her she was too old for him.
