When the erotic story The Book of Secrets swept through Erinsborough, many people recognised the locations from Ramsay Street and were determined to find the author. Karl Kennedy eventually admitted that he was the author, but soon found himself the target of the amorous advances of numerous middle-aged women, whilst his wife, school principal Susan became the laughing stock of Erinsborough High. Promising him plenty of attention from the ladies, Karl convinced Lou Carpenter to own up as the real author, and Lou was interviewed about his writing by Henri Wilson, who asked him about his influences - Lou claimed that he'd been inspired by 'that bloke who wrote Lady Chatterly's Lover'.
