When Rhys Lawson went to visit his mum Elaine at her care home, nurse Lottie was very impressed with the flowers he brought with him, but less impressed when he suddenly went back on his offer to have Elaine come and visit him at home the following week, claiming that he now had to work. When Lottie confronted Rhys over it, he told her to keep her nose out and just do her job. Later, Rhys's housemates - Jade and Kyle - arrived at the care home, as Lottie had ordered some for all of the residents' rooms, from the nursery run by Jade's sister Sonya. Having spent the day with his mum, Rhys was wheeling her into the gardens when he bumped into Jade and Kyle but, not wanting them to know anything about his personal life, he remained quiet, and Elaine was hurt that he hadn't introduced her, feeling that he was ashamed and asking Lottie to take her back to her room.
