With his girlfriend Michelle Scully desperate to take part in an exchange programme in New York, Connor O’Neill decided to help raise funds by arranging for their friend Nina Tucker to perform a gig at Lou’s pub. Unfortunately, as they were setting up, Robert Wright and his friends arrived for an air hockey tournament. Connor was annoyed as he realised that Lou had double booked, and things got worse as the hockey players drowned out Nina’s singing. Connor angrily told them to shut up and they decided to leave, telling Nina that she’d never make it as a singer if she couldn’t handle a few rowdy people in the crowd.
