After married Andrew Rodwell began an affair with younger neighbour Holly Hoyland, she was desperate for them to be together, ending her short relationship with boyfriend Max, but they both realised that it wouldn't be so easy for Andrew to get out of his marriage to wife Wendy. When Andrew admitted that he hoped that Wendy could be happy with someone else, Holly decided to try and hurry things along, arranging a last minute art class at the Waterhole bar where she worked. Claiming that the teacher she'd booked had dropped out, she persuaded Wendy, who taught art at the local high school, to help her out by running the class. Though slightly confused, Wendy agreed to it, with Holly telling Andrew that she hoped that it might help improve Wendy's confidence. However, she then invited along regular Waterhole customer Trent Yates, who she knew was single, in an attempt to matchmake him with Wendy. Though the pair got on well, Trent wasn't comfortable with the idea of anything happening with Wendy, aware that she had a husband, even after Holly tried to convince him that her marriage was on the rocks.
