Andrews' house/lock-up 2009
Residents: Phil Andrews, Trent Andrews, Lisa Andrews, Zeke Kinski (2009)
Part of a farm containing orchards, the Andrews house was a happy home for Phil Andrews, until the deaths of his wife, Lisa and their son, Trent. During his depression, Phil found confused Zeke Kinski by the banks of the river. Zeke had been involved in a rafting accident and, in his confused state, Phil told him that he was his son, Trent. For several weeks, Zeke lived as Trent Andrews, growing to trust Phil as he knew no better. When Zeke's neighbour, journalist Elle Robinson spotted a sketch of Zeke at a farm shop, it led her to the Andrews house where she and boyfriend Lucas broke in and found one of Zeke's t-shirts in the bedroom. Though Elle took the shirt, convinced Zeke was still alive, when she and Lucas went to return it, they found the house had been completely cleared out. Worried that people were onto him, Phil and moved himself and 'Trent' into a friend's lock-up. Zeke's concerned stepmother Susan, however, decided to go to the lock-up and confront Phil, who had managed to get rid of 'Trent' for the day, so the police search found nothing. Apologetic, Susan later sent back the t-shirt, but when Zeke opened it and recognised Susan's name, he decided to call her and find out what was going on. Susan immediately recognised Zeke's voice and, with husband Karl, raced back to the lock-up, where they found Phil packing up, ready to leave with his 'son'. The police arrested Phil, and while Zeke returned to his old family, the trauma of what had happened to him would affect him for many months to come.
