Saint Clare's Convent 2006

After taking work as a private detective, Connor O'Neill was surprised to be asked to look for his ex-girlfriend Carmella Cammeniti, who had left Erinsborough six months earlier and hadn't been heard from since. He eventually managed to track her down to a convent in country Victoria, Saint Clare's, where she was living as a novice nun. Stunned to see Connor, who she believed had perished in a plane crash, Carmella explained that she was looking for forgiveness for her actions the previous year and in two weeks, she would become Sister Mary Catherine. Though Carmella did become a nun, she later confessed that she had sold her cousin's baby, which had left her feeling so guilty she had joined the convent. She was given time out to consider her future and eventually she decided not to return.
