When troubled Steph Scully hooked up with her old boyfriend, biker Woody, her family and friends were concerned, as she had recently given birth and given her new son away to his father Daniel Fitzgerald. When they staged an intervention, believing she was suffering from post-natal depression, she got angry and walked out, going to stay with Woody at his place, where she drank and hung out with bikers, trying to forget her problems. When Steph's stepdaughter Summer tracked her down and confronted her, Woody was surprised to hear about Steph's problems and, realising that she could no longer hide away at his place, she took off again, to a motel.
