Born and raised in Victoria, Australia, Travis Burns’ interests include various forms of athletics such as basketball, football, baseball and swimming as well as photography. His passion for the open sea and his love of photography lead him to eventually become an open water diver, specialising in many fields (one of which is photography) after graduating from both Bacchus Marsh College and PIC (Photographic Imaging College). Travis proved that he could work wonders both behind and infront of the camera, when he decided to sign with Chadwick Models in 2011. Whilst modelling in Melbourne, Travis developed a growing interest in acting, which caused him to study it at both The Melbourne School of Acting and The Film Space.

Travis landed his first proper acting gig in 2013, when he appeared as Chase Robertson in eight episodes of The CW series S4F3. In late 2014, it was announced that Travis had been cast as new regular character Tyler Brennan in Neighbours, and he made his first appearance on Australian screens in February 2015.
