Nicola (Nikki) Vicars Coghill was born in Melbourne on January 4, 1964.
Before entering the acting profession, Nikki trained as a classical dancer, and studied Arts at Melbourne University.
She has since starred in numerous Australian films and TV series, including Sons and Daughters, Starting Out, Blue Heelers, The Flying Doctors, Guinevere Jones, and McLeod's Daughters. Nikki also starred in 1980s Vietnam War drama Sword of Honour alongside future Neighbour, Alan Fletcher, who plays Karl Kennedy.
Nikki joined the cast of Neighbours in 2007 as events organiser, Miranda Parker and she, her husband and two children quickly settled into life in Erinsborough. In her short time on Ramsay Street, Miranda has seen her daughter run over by neighbour Susan Kinski, and has stood by while her husband, Steve, took the blame for a murder he didn’t commit.
As a mum of two, Nikki has been quoted as saying that she strongly identifies with Miranda who often “struggle and juggles” to make family life work.
Nikki resides in Melbourne with her husband and two daughters.
