Fiona Corke
Played: Gail Lewis Robinson
Appeared: 1987-1989, 2005, 2006

Fiona Corke was born on 24th September 1961, in Melbourne, Australia.

Her first role was a minor film credit in I Live with Me Dad. This was followed in 1986 with a casting as Alison Mills in Prisoner Cell Block H. The following year, Fiona landed the role of Gail Lewis in Neighbours. Gail became Gail Robinson after marrying Paul, and to this day Stefan Dennis, who plays Paul, refers to Gail as Paul’s ‘one true love’. Fiona left Neighbours after two years in 1989, but returned to make a cameo appearance in the 20th anniversary episode in 2005, and went on to appear in guest stints in 2006 and 2007.

Since Neighbours, Fiona has made guest appearances on a variety of television shows, including Blue Heelers, Police Rescue, Halifax f.p. and The Saddle Club, and had a recurring role as Trudi Dawson in the Australian drama SeaChange between 1998 and 2000. In 2007 and 2008, Corke appeared in Rush as well as playing Judith Wellings in several episodes of City Homicide.

In 2009 Fiona wrote, produced and directed a short film called Woundead, which went on to be chosen for the 2009 St Kilda Film Festival.

Fiona has also become renowned as a wildlife activist and is vice president of the Australian Society for Kangaroos (ASK). She is married to actor and musician Nick Carrafa, who himself has played three different Neighbours characters. The couple met whilst filming together with Neighbours in 1987, though they kept the relationship a secret until the following year when Nick left the series, fearing that it might confuse the show's viewers.
