Kate Gorman

Kate Gorman is the daughter of actors Reg Gorman and Judith Roberts, and got her first job in television when she was six-years-old on the show The Sullivans, in which her dad played Jack Fletcher.
Kate and Reg also played father and daughter in Evil Angles and she played her mother’s grand-daughter and her sister’s sister in the stage musical Seven Little Australians! Kate's mother, father and sister Charmaine have all made Neighbours guest appearances during their careers.
Kate started working full time in television at the age of 15, winning the lead role in Zoo Family. In 1986, Kate began on Neighbours as the guest character of Sue Parker, appearing on and off until 1987. Kate continued in TV, appearing in shows such as
Shark Bay in 1996, Full Frontal in 1997 and State Coroner in 1998.
Moving into directing later in her career, Kate's first feature film, which she wrote and directed, was Five Moments of Infidelity, which in 2006 won best film at DIGI SPAA and Critic’s Choice at the Salento Film Festival. Her 2012 documentary
The Face of Birth, again written, co-directed and produced by Kate, has been translated into 15 languages and distributed in 17 countries.
Kate has continued to work on TV appearing in Kath and Kim in 2002, Very Small Business in 2008 and City Homicide in 2009. In 2014, she returned to her role of recurring character Sue Parker in Neighbours, after a twenty-seven year gap between
appearances.
Kate is married and has three children. Kate and sister Charmaine started up their production company Baby Banksia in 2000, but changed the name to Gorman Works in 2006.
