Saskia Hampele

Born in 1984, Saskia Hampele acquired a love for music at an early age, as her mother was a musician, but developed an interest in acting whilst at primary school, and appeared
in the 1997 children's television series The Gift. Whilst later pursuing a career in acting, Saskia also trained as a social worker, and worked as a counsellor at The Reach Foundation and at the Royal Children's Hospital cancer ward.
Saskia's next major role was in the 2008 series Mark Loves Sharon, in which she played Sharon's friend Beth. This was followed by roles in short films Döbereiner's Lamp and The Countdown, and in 2010, Saskia appeared in
the films Arctic Blast and Blame. In 2012, she appeared as Sophie in the film 6 Plots.
Other television roles included 2011 guest appearances in both City Homicide and Twentysomething, and in August 2012, Saskia was cast in Neighbours in the regular role of nurse Georgia Brooks. The character first appeared
on Australian screens in October 2012, and the role also allowed Saskia to explore her love of music, with Georgia, also an aspiring musician, performing several songs, written by Saskia, on screen.
