Kevin Harrington was born on 4th September 1959, in Melbourne, Australia. He is married and has two daughters, Megan and Kaitlyn. Megan had a recurring role in Neighbours, playing Boyd Hoyland’s first girlfriend, Heather.
Before getting into television, Kevin worked in theatre and did stand-up comedy. His first TV appearance was in the TV show The Henderson Kids in 1985. In 1988, Kevin appeared in Neighbours as David Bishop, son of Harold Bishop. He was originally chosen
partly for his facial resemblance to actor Ian Smith, who played Harold. Kevin appeared in 9 episodes and was best man at the wedding between Harold and Madge.
After Neighbours, Kevin was given TV roles in shows including Snowy River: The McGregor Saga (1995), The Glynn Nicholas Show (1996), Blue Heelers (1997-1999, 2001) and SeaChange (1998-2001).
In 2003, Kevin returned to Neighbours, again playing David Bishop, but this time as a series regular with an on-screen wife and daughter. Their characters were killed off in 2005 in a plane crash.
Kevin has also appeared in the films The Dish (2000), Australian Rules (2002) and The Honourable Wally Norman (2003) – for which he received a Best Actor nomination at the 2004 Australian Film Institute Awards.
Kevin has provided voice-overs for radio and television advertisements. In particular, Kevin provided a voice-over for a Victorian Government sponsored television advertisement promoting Vocation Education & Training (VET) and Technical and Further
Education (TAFE) courses in October 2006.
More recent television appearances for Kevin include Underbelly (2008), City Homicide (2010), Winners and Losers (2011) and The Doctor Blake Mysterious (2014). Kevin also appeared in the Neighbours YouTube webisode
series Neighbours vs. Zombies, playing the zombie David Bishop.
