Remy Hii
Played: Hudson Walsh
Appeared: 2013, 2014
Born in Queensland to a Chinese father and an English mother, Remy Hii's acting career began when he attended the Queensland Institute of Technology, appearing in several theatre
productions, with his first professional appearance in the Queensland Theatre Company's production of The Estimator. Remy then went on to attend the National Institute of Dramatic Art between 2009 and 2011, during that time making small guest
appearances in East of Everything and H20: Just Add Water.
During 2013, Remy was cast in two bigger television roles - the recurring role of swimmer Hudson Walsh in Neighbours and the lead role of Van Tuong Nguyen in the four-part miniseries Better Man, based on the true story of a young
Vietnamese man who received the death penalty for drug trafficking. The latter role saw Remy nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Television Drama at the 2014 AACTA Awards, as well as winning the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding Newcomer
at the 2014 Logie Awards. As well as continuing to make appearances as Hudson in Neighbours, 2014 also saw Remy cast in the 10-part Netflix series Marco Polo.
