Adelaide was born on 9th August 1990 in Claremont, Western Australia.
In 2006, Dolly magazine launched a nationwide competition to find two new stars, one male and one female for 3-month guest roles on Neighbours with the possibility of a contract extension. 7000 teenagers auditioned and on August 4th, Adelaide was announced as the winner alongside Sam Clark. Adelaide, who previously had an acting agent, but had only done ads and extra work, and her mother moved to Melbourne where filming takes place.
She played the returning character of Louise 'Lolly' Allen who was last seen on the show in 2001, daughter of long-term character, Lou Carpenter,
and made her first onscreen appearance early in the 2007 season of the show. After her initial contract expired, it was renewed for a further 3 months. After this, Adelaide decided to return home to Perth to complete her schooling,
and the character was written out of the show with Lolly making her exit in June 2007 on Australian screens.
Adelaide went on to appear in several US productions, including the role of Tenaya in Power Rangers RPM, as Jade in Secrets of the Mountain and as Cora Hale in Teen Wolf. Her biggest break came in 2013, when she was
cast in the lead role of Mary, Queen of Scots in The CW drama series Reign.
