Born 22 April 1993, Hany Lee studied with the Sydney Talent Company for four years, performing in musical, music videos and short films. In 2008, she entered a competition in conjunction with Dolly magazine to find two new young actors to join Neighbours on six-week contracts. Though Hany won the New South Wales round of the contest, she ultimately lost out to Chelsea Jones, who spent three months playing Tegan Freedman. But, producers were so impressed with Hany that they offered her the regular role of a new exchange student who would be moving in with the Kennedy family, rewriting the role to make the character Korean.
Outside of her Neighbours commitments, Hany also has a strong interest in music, playing several instruments and also singing, dancing and composing.
