Gina Liano, from Brighton, Victoria was born 18 May 1967, one of four siblings. Following high school, Gina attended Monash University, earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws. She went on to become a junior barrister, joining the Victorian Bar in 1999, and representing some high-profile clients.

Her sisters Bettina Liano and Teresa Liano are both fashion designers, and in 1985, Gina went into business with her sisters running a chain of boutiques.

In 2003, Gina was diagnosed with cancer, and went into remission after 12 months of treatment. Gina has been divorced twice and is a single mother of two boys, Christos and Myles.

Since 2014, Gina has appeared on the Australian reality television series The Real Housewives of Melbourne. During 2014, Gina launched her very own shoe line, secured a book deal for her autobiography, and became the new Ambassador for the Cancer Council of Victoria.

Gina’s autobiography, Fearless, was published in April 2015. During the same month, it was announced that Gina would begin filming a three-week guest role with Neighbours as Mary Smith. She first appeared on Australian screens at the end of June 2015.
