Born 3rd March 1992, Jordy Lucas' interest in acting began in high school and she had guest roles in drama series Blue Heelers and Bed of Roses. Her other interests growing up included singing and writing. In 2008, she was one of the finalists in Dolly magazine's second Neighbours' Next Big Stars contest. Although Jordy missed out on a role that time, the producers kept her in mind and, a year later, she was awarded the regular role of Summer Hoyland, becoming the second actress to play the character. Having watched Neighbours growing up, and knowing the character of Summer already, Jordy admitted at the time that she found it 'a litte weird'.

After three years as Summer, Jordy decided to leave Neighbours to pursue ambitions to work in the USA, stating at the time that she would miss working with Alan Fletcher (Karl) and Jackie Woodburne (Susan). Jordy filmed her final scenes in September 2012, and was last seen on Australian screens in February 2013, before moving to Los Angeles.
