Born in 1950 in Melbourne, Australia, Colette Mann first rose to fame as an actress in her home country with the popular role of misfit Doreen Anderson. Colette played Doreen
between 1979 and 1982, returning for guest appearances in 1983 and 1984, and she went on to make appearances in the TV movie Outback Bound, and in series The Flying Doctors, Stark and Snowy River: The McGregor Saga
in the years that followed.
Colette's film and stage roles have included Betty the Bush Poet in The Dish in 2000, Buttercup in the 2005 Opera Australia production of HMS Pinafore and Shirley in the 2010 stage production of Priscilla Queen
of the Desert - The Musical. Colette has also worked as a television presenter on series including The Don Lane Show, Hey Hey, It's Saturday, Good Morning Australia and The Circle. She has also released
two book, It's A Mann's World in 1990 and Give Me A Break in 2002.
In 1995, Colette joined the cast of Neighbours for two months, taking over the role of Cheryl Stark from Caroline Gillmer, who had to unexpectedly take time off due to illness. In 2012, she returned to Neighbours in the
recurring, and later regular, role of Sheila Canning, the wise-cracking manager of Charlie's bar.
