Born 5th July 1985 in Malvern, Victoria, Australia, Stephanie is the daughter of Sue McIntosh, former actress and later newsreader, and is the half-sister of actor/singer and former Neighbours star, Jason Donovan.

She made her acting debut with a minor role in the made-for-tv movie The Wilde Girls alongside Olivia Newton-John as well as a guest appearance in kids sci-fi drama, The Legacy of the Silver Shadow. In 2003, Stephanie had her big break, following in the footsteps of her half-brother, when she was cast in popular soap opera Neighbours, playing Sky Mangel. Her performance in the role was awarded by a nomination in the 'Most Popular New Female Talent' category in the 2004 TV Week Logie Awards.

Stephanie had always expressed an interest in pursuing a singing career and in early 2006 she signed a five album deal with Universal Music Australia. As well as recording her debut album, her attempts to juggle her singing career along with her hectic filming schedule was documented in her own reality series The Steph Show.

In August 2006, she released her debut single Mistake which peaked at number 3 in the ARIA charts and was certified gold. Her album Tightrope which peaked at number 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart was also certified gold. After months of speculation, it was announced that Stephanie would leave the show to concentrate on her music career, finishing filming in April 2007, after 4 years on the show.

Following her departure, Stephanie has since tried to launch her music career in the UK.
