Damien Richardson made one of his first television appearances in A Country Practice in 1994, and went on to appear in many TV series, including Stingers (in 1999, 2000 and 2002), Blue Heelers (in 1999, 2001 and 2004),
The Secret Life of Us (2003) and City Homicide (2007-2011).
Damien has also appeared in film, starring in The Hard Word (2002), Noise (2007) and Torn (2010).
In 2014, Damien was cast in Neighbours as guest character Gary Canning, father to regular character Kyle. This was Damien's third appearance in the series, he had previous played the character Kim White in 1992 and appeared as an extra in 1993.
Damien is also a writer, he co-wrote The Belly of the Whale, which won Best New Drama at the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 1999.
More recently, Damien has appeared in popular Australian series Wentworth in 2015 and The Doctor Blake Mysteries in 2016.
Following a second Neighbours guest stint in early 2016, Damien started appearing on the show on a regular basis from June of that year.
Damien resides in Melbourne with his writer wife, Nicole, and three children, Maisie, Albert and Lottie.
