Donna Freedman
Played: Donna Freedman
Appeared: 2008-
Born July 2nd, 1990, Margot Robbie grew up on Australia’s Gold Coast, splitting her time between the beach and her grandparents’ farm, but began spending a lot of time in Melbourne when she started acting professionally at the age of 17. During her first year as an actress, she landed roles in films ICU and Vigilante, as well as appearing in various television commercials and landing the guest role of Caitlin Brentford in the second season of City Homicide.
In March 2008, Margot landed her biggest part to date with the recurring guest role of kooky Donna Freedman in Neighbours, a role she found out she’d won when she was only two days into a five-week snowboarding holiday in Canada. Initially a short-term role, Donna was later turned into a regular character, and Margot made the permanent move to Melbourne, though she still spends most weekends on the Gold Coast, visiting family. In July 2008, Margot took advantage of a two-week break in filming by returning home for her 18th birthday, which she celebrated by skydiving.
