Born May 21st 1972 in Melbourne, Brett Alan Tucker grew up in the Yarra Valley with his three brothers. After studying at Melbourne’s National Theatre Drama School, he made his television debut in Neighbours in 1992, with a role as builder Davo. Several other guest roles, in Neighbours, (as Davo again, a pub patron and as Ned Goodman in 1996) Snowy River: The McGregor Saga (as Ted in 1994) and Halifax fp (as Scott in 2000) followed, before he spent two series of children’s drama The Saddle Club as Max Regnery. In 2003, Brett joined the regular cast of McLeod’s Daughters as vet Dave Brewer, a role he went on to play for three years.

As well as his many acting roles in Australia, Brett has also appeared in American series including The Lost World and Code Red, and has had roles in the movies Mall Boy and The Great Raid and theatre roles including The Woman In Black in 2006. In 2007, Brett made a permanent return to the Neighbours cast as teacher and counsellor Daniel Fitzgerald, a role he had originated in a recurring capacity in 1999 and 2000.

In his spare time, Brett enjoys snowboarding, playing the piano and surfing
