Every year Neighbours has taken a Christmas break from screens in Australia and often in the UK too. The break has allowed for seasonal programming variations, let the Australian viewers enjoy their southern hemisphere summer weather, and in the UK has been used to prevent catching up with the Australian viewing pace. The following two tables show how long the breaks lasted each year.
