Scott 'Stingray' Timmins
The cousin of Erinsborough lawyer Jarrod ‘Toadfish’ Rebecchi made an unexpected debut in the area; streaking at a football game. And naturally, Toadie didn’t know he’d be turning up; he saw his naked cousin on the TV. Toadie quickly headed down to collect his cousin and offer his legal services, while Scott (who would only later earn the traditional fishy nickname of Stingray) harassed Toadie’s house, and trainee cop, Stuart Parker. Scott ended up staying in the area permanently, taken in by teacher Susan Smith, who helped him overcome his ADHD and kept him out of trouble. The following year, Scott’s mum, Janelle, and siblings Dylan, Bree and Janae joined him in Erinsborough.
First Episode: 4434
First Words: (as the police escort him back to their van) “Got yas running didn’t I, old fellas? Take it easy, it’s just a joke!”

Ben Kirk #2
The young son of Libby Kennedy and Drew Kirk, Ben returned to Erinsborough with his mum in May 2004, with young Sean Berends having taking over the role from Noah Sutherland, who had played him from birth until Libby and Ben’s temporary departure in 2003, allowing for actress Kym Valentine to go on maternity leave. Despite a slightly older child playing him, Ben remained mostly silent until a third actor, Blake O’Leary, took over the part in 2007 and he started being given lines of his own.
First Episode: 4477

Janelle Timmins
Stingray’s troublesome mother had been mentioned numerous times since he arrived in Ramsay Street, but it wasn’t until November of 2004 that we finally got to see what all the fuss was about. Parking her caravan in the middle of Ramsay Street, Janelle descended, complete with neck brace, to ruin all the hard work Susan had done in getting Stingray back on the straight and narrow. She proceeded to force her nephew, Toadie, to help her win a false compensation claim, then made plans to head back to Colac with her son, only for him to change his mind at the last minute and return to Erinsborough. A few months passed and Janelle was back in Ramsay Street, this time – unfortunately for the other residents - to stay.
First Episode: 4609 (returned permanently in 4673)
First Words: (walks into pub and Lou asks if he can help) “Can you what? I’ve been on the frog and toad since ten this morning and I’m flat knackered. Can you give us a feed?”

Also in 2004, Sindi Watts returned as a regular cast member, having made her first appearance in 2002, while Paul Robinson also came back to Ramsay Street in the final scene of the 2004 season.
