Recap
• Nina and Jack dance at the charity ball
• Toadie pushes himself into looking through Dee’s box of old keepsakes

No 30 - Kitchen/hallway: Toadie continues to look through the box, not liking what he sees, when Dee returns with flowers, eager to talk. She finds him, immediately hurt when she sees what he is doing. She shouts at him to talk to her before being sarcastic about investigating all her childhood possessions. She then finds a diary entry from her trip to Tasmania and reads how she is so lucky to have Toadie. She leaves the house, and he looks guilty.

Erinsborough High - Classroom: Harold watches Jack and Nina practice a scene, unimpressed with their wooden performances. They glance at each other when he mentions that he thinks he knows why they are not performing the way they used to. As this affects the other performers and the audience, he suggests an intimacy exercise to heal their trust in each other.

The Coffee Shop: Taj greets Susan before joining Lori, mentioning Michelle and Connor’s return. Lori explains that she is putting reasons to the school council on why there should be more tolerance for student’s choice of uniform. Miss. Barkham enters, questioning Lori on drinking coffee at this time of night before mentioning that she will be taking the Maths class next day. She and Susan then greet each other, and Susan mentions that Toadie will be speaking with the students tomorrow. Candace is condescending until Susan assures her that Toadie has changed much since his own schooldays, before Candace frustratingly reminds Susan about her computer training report.

Erinsborough High - Classroom: Jack and Nina are sat in front of each other, Harold instructing them on talking to each other about betrayal. Watching, he smiles at their progress.

Lou's Place: Dee is sitting alone, glum, when Darcy joins her. She tells him about the distance between her and Toadie, and how he seems to be trying to end things. Darcy agrees that everyone needs their privacy and encourages her to get some space for them both to clear the air. He then suggests the spare room at his house…Darcy brings drinks, returning to the spare room issue, and Dee explains that staying elsewhere would signal the end of the relationship. He assures her that it would not be weird given their history and gives her a key to his house, saying that she can use it anytime. Though she assures him that it will not come to that, Dee looks thoughtful as takes it.

Erinsborough High - Classroom: Still doing the trust exercise, Jack tells Nina about his favourite childhood book The Pokey Little Puppy. Nina asks Jack if he regrets not playing soccer anymore, and he says that he did not care enough to continue. Nina shares her similar experiences of her mother pushing her to do well in plays and shows, and Jack remarks that it is funny how things turn out.

No 30 - Kitchen: Susan gathers that Toadie is upset about Dee and decides to reschedule his presentation to the students next day. She encourages him to be strong.

Erinsborough High - Classroom: Jack and Nina finish a scene and Harold praises their performance, asking them to keep going with whatever brought it about.

No 30 - Kitchen: Toadie is waiting for Dee when she returns, staying silent when she initiates a conversation. She leaves the room, and before he can speak up she returns with bags packed. She tells him that she is staying with a friend and leaves, though neither of them clearly wants it this way.

Erinsborough High - Corridor: Jack warns Lori about wearing trousers in front of Miss. Barkham before fawning over Taj’s new camera. Miss. Barkham appears, questioning Lori on the trousers and summoning her to the office next morning, fixing her underwear as she leaves. Seeing this, Lori mutters “Wedgie alert” and Taj sneakily takes a photo.

Lassiter's Complex: Dee and Darcy are arriving for work, Dee determined to get straight into it. She thanks Darcy for his support when Harold greets them cheerily and mentions the play going well. He returns to work and Darcy says that a love story is all Dee needs right now. He gives her a lunch that he packed, calling her a strong woman and smiling when she mentions that she may be staying with him for a good while yet.

Erinsborough High - Classroom: Susan enters, followed by Nina and Lori, mentioning that Toadie cannot make it today. As she tends to the chalkboard, Taj and Jack enter and show the girls a sample printout of Miss. Barkham’s enlarged photo. Miss. Barkham enters, sending the boys on their way before asking Susan about Toadie. As Susan prepares to tell her, Toadie arrives ready to talk. Saved from Candace’s scrutiny, Susan introduces them and smiles to herself as the pupils laugh at Toadie’s opening joke.

The Coffee Shop: Darcy and Dee order at the counter when Harold suggests they buy tickets for the play, two for Dee and Toadie. When he says that he will leave them at the house that evening Dee is forced to explain that she and Toadie are taking time apart. Harold apologises and agrees to leave the tickets at the surgery, Dee looking away unhappily while Darcy consoles her.

Erinsborough High - Classroom/playground: Toadie finishes his talk with a joke, praising “Mrs. K” for her support and encouraging the students to stick at it. Lori then jokes that a successful lawyer in a suit is very attractive and Toadie immediately turns sour, saying that the only person you can really trust is yourself. The students awkwardly applaud, while Susan and Candace praise him; Candace leaves the room and Susan and Toadie share a look. Outside, the kids talk about Toadie’s manner in class, when Taj gets an idea to get back at Miss Barkham and leads Lori away. Left alone, Nina tells Jack that she got him a present: a copy of The Pokey Little Puppy. Jack says that he loves the gesture and they share another moment.
