Recap
• Karl breaks up an argument between Susan and Candace in Candace’s defence
• Lou does not listen to Harold’s warning against pursuing Dorothy
• Connor breaks up with Michelle

The Coffee Shop: Harold and Lou are quietly reminiscing about Rosie. They agree not to have any more silly fights over women before Lou mentions that he will be seeing Dorothy again tonight. Harold looks uneasy, calling her domineering, which Lou does not understand.

No 28 - Dining Table: Susan is making breakfast for Karl as he enters from the bedroom, apologising for causing a scene with Candace. She remains cold about Candace while Karl insists that he sees nothing bad in her, so they agree to disagree.

No 30 - Living Room: Stuart and Toadie are getting ready to watch the football match when Connor joins them. They joke about him “getting permission” from Michelle and he explains that they broke up. The others encourage him to be positive, and Stuart mentions Connor joining him on leave from work. Boyd arrives, home alone, and joins them on the sofa.

No 26 - Kitchen: Valda is making tea for Michelle, encouraging her to get back on her feet. Valda shares her own experiences of relationship troubles and asks Michelle to have no regrets. Joe enters, overhearing, and Michelle tells him about Connor. Joe is taken aback and says it is a shame, before getting uptight about Valda’s words of advice.

No 30 - Living Room: As the game continues, Toadie and Stuart are explaining the rules to Connor when Sindi arrives. She wants to go out with Toadie and instead invites herself to sit in with them, to everyone else’s annoyance.

No 26 - Kitchen: Joe mentions to Lyn that Valda and Michelle have gone out, grumbling about Valda giving Michelle the wrong idea. He elaborates that Michelle and Connor are split up and Lyn tells him that she will have a word with Valda alone.

The Coffee Shop: Karl pays at the counter, mentioning that Harold seems distracted. Harold hypothetically lays out his moral dilemma with Lou and Dorothy, which Karl quickly gathers and Harold is forced to tell him about Dorothy’s “interests.” Karl is shocked but insists that Harold do not interfere and let Lou see for himself.

No 26 - Kitchen: Valda and Michelle return home, Valda planning to take Michelle shopping to cheer her up and win Connor back. Alone with Valda, Lyn hints that Valda needs to steer Michelle in the right direction. Valda insists that Michelle needs a friend, and Lyn says that if Valda was a parent she would see that it is more important. Valda gets uptight, walking out when Lyn tries to correct herself. Michelle asks where she went and what was said, and Lyn remains guilty.

No 30 - Living Room: Sindi and the boys are still watching the game, Sindi not understanding the rules and getting the others worked up. She leaves to get a drink, and the others tease Boyd for liking her when he defends her.

No 28 - Dining Table: Susan greets Karl as he excitedly returns, say that he has gossip and getting her intrigued.

Lou's Place - Office: Valda is tearfully looking at a baby’s photograph when Lou enters. She excuses herself and leaves, attempting to get herself together.

No 30 - Living Room: The game reaches halftime and the boys get up to kick the ball around outside. Sindi insists she join them, despite wearing open heels.

Ramsay Street: The boys and Sindi come to play in the street, while Karl joins them. Everyone looks unimpressed as Sindi prepares for a shot, accidentally kicking off her shoe. Boyd returns it and encourages her to keep going, while Stuart calls him back to play. All the while, Michelle is watching Connor from a window.

No 30 - Living Room: Stuart, Boyd, Sindi and Toadie return and Sindi mentions that she has to leave to get ready for dinner with Toadie. Stuart is eager for her to leave, while Boyd walks her out. Stuart scolds Toadie for letting Sindi walk over him before answering the phone to his mother. He mentions having time off work and begrudgingly agrees to come to Oakey for a visit. Toadie laughs at Stuart’s failed plans for adventure and a good time, calling him a pushover instead.

Lou's Place: Valda is laying a table, looking upset. She makes excuses to Lou when Lyn joins them, wanting to apologise. Valda says that she deeply cares for the kids but understands that she needs to give the family some space. Lyn says that she does not want Valda to go, and Valda starts to cheer up.

No 28: Lou is delivering something for Libby, saying that he cannot stay as he has plans. Karl and Susan persist, wanting to tell him about Dorothy but he leaves, with no idea.

No 30 - Living Room: Stuart is listening to music when Toadie enters for his date with Sindi. Stuart asks if Toadie is going after Sindi only because she reminds him of Dee. He tells Toadie to sort out his issues with Dee before he ruins it for good.
