Recap
• Gem tells Bailey about a place on the China trip
• Josh is angry about Amber's new job as a meter maid
• Toadie is suspicious of Gem's sudden hip injuries
• Paul is furious about Amber taking wedding photos at Lassiter's

Lassiter's Complex: Paul is busy putting up campaign posters, when a furious Terese tracks him down. She says that, because Paul pointed out that they had a schoolgirl taking their wedding photos, she's had to refund them, and now the hotel owes $500 to Amber too. Paul says that Terese should have considered that before she lied to the couple - Terese, however, can't understand why Paul seems to be trying so hard to sabotage his own business. He says that there are more important things in life.

Harold's Store: Terese then walks into the store, where Amber is cleaning tables - Amber immediately apologises to her, but Terese insists that Amber has nothing to be sorry for. Amber refuses to take her fee, as she brought so much embarrassment to the hotel, but Terese says that the couple were still very impressed with the photos, even if the hotel did have to give them for free. Terese tells Amber that she's very talented, and should consider a career in photography. She gives Amber the money, and tells her to put it towards a camera.

No 28: Karl is working on his campaign song, as Susan arrives home. She's surprised to find that he still hasn't worked out what the platform for his campaign is going to be, and he admits that he's struggling to come up with ideas, and was hoping that the song would stir his creative juices. Susan tells him that he needs to get out there amongst the people, ask them what they want and, most importantly, don't sing.

Erinsborough Hospital: Gem is pleased when Bailey walks into her hospital room - he hands over a box of chocolates, which she looks at and promptly tosses to one side, telling him that she's more of a dark chocolate girl. He says that he'll give them to the nurses, and Gem tells him how sweet he is. He then mentions the vote at school, and how much he wanted to thank her for supporting him - she asks why he would think that she was voting for him, and his face drops, before he realises that she's joking. She then finds herself in pain as she tries to move, and Bailey goes to help her, just as Toadie walks in and sees them together. Bailey quickly leaves, and Toadie follows him out, telling Gem that he'll organise her discharge paperwork. Outside, Bailey asks Toadie if Gem is going to be OK, as it seemed like she could hardly move, but Toadie says that he'll look after her. He the turns around and sees Gem getting out of the bed with no problems at all.

No 32 - Kitchen: Amber is on the laptop, looking at photography schools, when Josh sneaks in and makes her jump, before closing the computer. She snaps at him, and he realises that she's still upset about what he said earlier, but he asks if she's going to apologise to him too. She says that he deserved a blast for being so horrible to her, and he accepts this and asks if they're going to hang out today. She points out that she's busy, and he makes a remark about her always being on Facebook and Twitter - Amber then gets upset about his low opinion of her, and he leaves.

Charlie's: Terese is telling Brad about Paul's behaviour, and how he sees to be destroying his own business in his attempts to become the new mayor. She admits that she now feels like an idiot for agreeing to the performance clause in her contract too. Brad asks why she can't just cut the paid parking, but Terese says that she's been through everything and there's nothing else left that she can cut to save costs. Brad then tells her that, if she wants to beat Paul, she needs to start thinking like Paul.

Lassiter's Hotel - Reception: Terese is going through the clauses of some contracts, when Josh comes in, telling his mum about his problems with Amber and looking for advice. He realises that she's distracted, and then he spots the wedding photos, very surprised to learn that they're the work of Amber. He admits that he had no idea that she was so good, and Terese suggests that maybe he should have a bit more faith in his girlfriend. Terese is then handed a bill of $1500 for lift repair - Josh is amazed that it's so expensive, and Terese says that it's getting more each month, especially now that they have the penthouse suite. This gives her an idea, and she tells Josh that their chat will have to wait until later, as she has some fine print to read.

No 30 - Lounge Room: Susan is helping Gem to get settled on the couch - Gem is grateful, but insists that she'll be back at work the next day, and that Susan doesn't need to get a substitute teacher. Bailey then walks in with some dark chocolates for Gem, surprised to see that Susan is there. She says that Callum isn't home, and Bailey makes up an unconvincing story about bringing the chocolates for Callum, who helped him on Dragon Prophecies. He then puts down the chocolates and rushes out, and Susan shares a knowing look with Gem.

No 30 - Lounge Room: A little later, Gem has started eating the chocolates, and Susan asks if Bailey's ever given her a gift before. She says that this is the first time, and that she hasn't noticed Bailey hanging around more than usual. Susan points out that Bailey quite clearly has a crush on Gem, and that Gem can't do anything else to encourage it - Gem then becomes defensive, insisting that she would never do anything like that - Susan accepts this, but looks unconvinced.

Harold's Store: Bailey is looking at a Mandarin phrasebook, and Lauren tells him not to get too confident until he knows that he's definitely going on the trip. She makes a joke about him bribing the judges - Bailey asks who told her about that, before realising that she knows nothing. Lauren takes a coffee over to Amber, who's looking at uni courses. Lauren is surprised to hear about Amber's plans to study photography, as she thought she was more interested in business studies after her work experience at the hotel. Amber says that photography seems like it would be fun, and tells Lauren that her art work has always been a source of inspiration for her.

Lassiter's Complex: Lauren walks out of the store, looking for some work to do as there are no customers - Karl comes by, and asks if she could tell him about any of her concerns for her business. She says that her only concern is the paid parking - Karl then tries to find out if there's anything else, and she eventually says that the town could do with a new homeless shelter, as she's going to need it soon, when her business goes bust because of the paid parking!

Charlie's: Terese finds Paul, and tells him that she's increasing the maintenance fees for the Eclipse Apartments. Paul can't believe that she would do that, but she says that she's checked the contracts and the rate increase is overdue - and the extra revenue means that she can get rid of the paid parking.

No 32 - Kitchen: Josh sneaks up on Amber again, and she asks him what he wants - he says that he's come to apologise again. He explains that he saw the wedding photos, and he's really proud of her. She asks if she's good enough to be his girlfriend now, as he always seems to act so superior - he insists that he doesn't think he's better than her, but he does have more focus. Amber says that she has focus now too, as she wants to be a photographer - Josh jokes that focus will come in handy in a photography career, but Amber just gets annoyed at him making jokes at her expense. Josh tells her that he's glad she's figured out what she wants to do, and that she won't have to do anything stupid like be a meter maid. Amber points out that he should be supporting her, whatever she decides to do, and then tells him that she's had enough of his snarky comments. She says that they need some time apart, and he quietly leaves.

Harold's Store: Terese comes in, and Lauren thanks her for her help with Amber, who's decided to study photography. Terese is happy to have helped, and then reports that she's getting rid of the paid parking. Lauren is very relieved, and asks how she managed to do it - Terese says that she just gave Paul a taste of his own medicine. She suggests that they should have a barbecue that night, to celebrate their victory, and Lauren likes the idea until she hears that Brad is going to be there. She makes an excuse about having to help Amber with some uni research, and suggests that they have a girls' night out later in the week instead.

No 28: Karl returns home and reports to Susan that the paid parking has been abolished, and Paul has been left without a mayoral platform. Toadie then calls by, and asks Karl for some medical advice - without giving Gem's name, he explain the situation about her sudden relapses, which seem to happen at very convenient times. Karl says that he should really speak to his 'friend' about this, as pain is a very subjective thing. Once Toadie leaves, Susan realises exactly which 'friend' he was talking about, and decides that she's going to keep a closer eye on Gem at work from now on.

No 30 - Lounge Room: Bailey calls by to visit Gem again, this time checking that nobody else is there. She explains that she wanted to talk to him about the China trip, and says that she can't vote for him. He becomes upset, saying that he's already told everyone that he's going, and he doesn't understand why she would do this to him. She quickly says that she might miss him if he's gone for three whole weeks. Bailey is slightly taken aback, and then smiles.
