At the Coffee Shop, Scott tells Daphne he couldn’t do the exam as his mind went blank – Daphne tells him to try and retake the exam if allowed. Mike & Nikki arrive. At the Robinson house, Helen finishes talking to her sister Laura on the phone. Helen tells Jim Laura will be visiting next week but to keep it a secret from Nikki. Jim tells Helen he’s been out to get tickets for a rock concert for Scott as he worked so hard for his exam and is bound to get a good grade.

Back at the shop, Mike, Nikki & Scott are in the Coffee shop. Nikki tells Scott she cannot understand why he walked out of the exam like he did and leaves him to return home. Danny comes in and quips they must be celebrating the end of their exam. After Nikki and Mike leave Danny learns of Scott’s actions - Daphne tells Scott he must tell Jim who’ll understand.

Jim wanders out into the garden to see all the heads of his prize-winning roses have been broken off. Jim sees Bradley hiding in the bushes holding a boomerang. Realising what he’s done Jim drags the boy over to No.28.

At the Clarke house, Andrea is relaxing with a facemask on when Jim enters holding Bradley. She angrily tells Jim to let go of her son and Jim furiously explains what Bradley has done. Bradley denies it and Andrea calls Jim a liar. When she threatens to call the police if he touches Bradley again Jim furious leaves still holding the boomerang…

Out in Ramsay Street, Bradley runs after Jim asking for his boomerang back – Jim gives it to him and Bradley smiles knowing he’s got away with it.

At the Coffee Shop, Scott decides it is time to go home and Danny offers to go home with him. Scott is surprised and Danny reminds him they were best friends once. Daphne reassures Scott again it will be okay.

At the Robinson house, Helen is furious at all of Jim’s roses being destroyed as Nikki with Mike arrives home. However Helen is more concerned at the reaction Jim had with Bradley and wonders if he was physically too rough with the boy. Jim defends his actions telling her he only pulled the boy by the arm. Jim tells Helen he’d never apologise to Andrea.

On Ramsay Street, Danny and Scott talk about old times and the future of Danny’s career at the bank when they come across Bradley riding his bike across the footpath. Scott tells him to get off of Lucy’s bike but Bradley tells them to ‘rack off’. Scott and Danny decide to pick him up on the bike and put him in the road.

In the Robinson house, Jim, still upset, has Andrea storm into his house followed by Bradley and accuse Scott and Danny of beating up Bradley. Paul arrives and shouts at them to stop their arguing. Scott and Danny defend their actions and Jim backs them up. Andrea tells Danny she could get him sacked from the bank by talking to Des – Hearing enough Jim throws her and Bradley out of his house. Paul jokingly tells everyone he’ll visit more often if it is like this.

At the Coffee Shop, Mike arrives to take over from Daphne at work and explains to her in Jim’s current mood Scott could be in for a rough time.

Back at the Robinson house, Paul defends Scott’s actions in the exam hall in front of Jim – Jim curtly reminds Paul he’s only where he is today in business due to Rosemary! Jim leaves. As Nikki leaves to see Mike, Paul jokes he’s only after her body… Paul tells Helen the business is going really well and so he feels he’s a changed man. Helen wonders if he has really changed that much.

At the Coffee Shop, Andrea and Bradley arrive – Bradley immediately causes problems by playing with the napkins, which only exasperates Daphne who is busy while Mike sees Nikki. Andrea reminds her the customer is always right.

At number 22, Nikki and Mike arrive as Nikki tells him how angry Jim was with Scott. Mike asks her about her mother but she shies away from saying anything more than she lives in Charleville. Mike goes to kiss her but she jumps away from him telling Mike Paul was right about him! Mike is confused.

At Paul’s office, he tells Scott exams aren’t everything and life is as exciting as you make it – something he discovered after he felt suicidal after Terry left him.

At the Robinson house, Scott, full of confidence from talking to Paul, arrives to talk to Jim – Jim tells him he has no right to take advice from Paul who had Rosemary not helped out would be a drifter still. Jim tells Scott he cannot support him anymore and he’s on his own.
