Episode 2290
At
24, Marlene is trying to take some pictures of the girls.
Annalise keeps complaining from the bedroom. The photo is
ruined when the girls all move to help out Annalise. Marlene
tells everyone not to worry, they have plenty of time, and
tells them to help themselves to some chicken and champagne.
Annalise whines a bit more and storms off back into her room.
Mark
can't find his bow tie, and is worried that he's making the
wrong decision. Rick says how it's the '90s and that they
can just divorce each other if things don't work out. It doesn't
really make Mark feel much better. He finds the bow tie and
tells him to eat his breakfast. Mark says that something is
missing from the relationship, and that they use each other
to cover up whatever it is. Rick tells him to stop thinking.
Phil
and Hannah arrive back, and Helen comes out in the most ghastly
outfit I have ever seen in my entire life. Hannah, not wanting
to hurt her feelings, says she looks nice. Phil says they
have no time to chat and tells Hannah to get ready. She retorts
saying she has heaps of time and begins to tell Helen about
what she got up to whilst she was away. Phil attempts to crack
a joke about how country horses have fresh air and early nights,
and that city horses spend the night partying but it falls
flat. Jeez, who does he think he is - Helen? Phil then tells
Hannah that Debbie phoned while she was away, and that she
isn't going to come back anytime soon.
Bianca
is bitching to Sam about something, and looks incredibly small.
She says that she's going to move into Marlene's. Sam says
they won't be able to get on with any work today because of
the wedding. Bianca says he shouldn't go if he's still "funny"
about it.
Helen,
trying to show off her new outfit, tells Annalise to calm
down. Elliot arrives, even though Annalise hasn't spoken to
him for years. He says she looks like a "walking poem"
and uses big words like "multitude" to try and sound
intelligent. He gives Annalise her book review, and says how
well it went down. They say it must be a good omen for the
wedding. Rick comes round saying that Dave, who was supposed
to give Annalise away, has been arrested. Helen tries to chat
to Rick about the Lassiter'ss thing, but he runs out before
she gets the chance to (I'm guessing he saw her outfit and
ran for his life!). Annalise says she knew something was going
to go wrong, and then asks Elliot if he'll give her away.
He agrees, and they have a toast.
Karl
and Susan say that Mal's beach holiday was nothing but poor
organisation, seeing they didn't have enough supplies for
emergencies. Karl says it wouldn't have killed him to use
his common sense. When Karl tells him to get ready, Mal says
he's made plans and won't go to work, but Karl says he had
a deal and there's no way he's pulling out of it.
Cheryl
arrives back home at 22, and Danni and Brett come out with
these annoying sarcastic remarks. Cheryl says she's not in
the mood for their bad humour. Lou comes down the stairs,
and Cheryl makes a couple of snide remarks and storms out.
Danni and Brett wonder what's been going on.
At
the surgery, Mal accidentally leans on the emergency button
and Karl whizzes out asking what's the matter. When Karl has
a go at him for leaning on it, Mal says he's resigning. When
Karl tells him to sit back down, Mal says, in a rather cocky
tone, "what are you gonna do? Kill me?" He then
yells at the top of his high pitched voice that Karl killed
a patient back in the country.
At
the church, everyone is getting ready for the wedding. Cheryl
has donned a Dennis The Menace wig to mark the occasion, and
tells Danni and Brett not to bother whispering about what
happened earlier at 22. Hannah moans to Phil about Debbie
and how she wants her to come back, and Mark and Rick arrive
at the alter.
At
Marlene's, Annalise is worrying because the car still hasn't
arrived. Elliot goes on about how beautiful she looks, and
she says how worried she is about the wedding. She says that
she has this awful feeling that it's all wrong, and that she's
felt like this for a while. She says to Elliot that she obsessed
over her dress and the bridesmaids to take her mind off of
it, but says she can't hide the fact that she knows Mark has
changed. She says she doesn't like his new Christian attitude.
Elliot says that if she feels like this, she should call off
the wedding, but Annalise says she's not going to humiliate
Mark in front of everyone. She then says it's too late to
call it off, as she is committed. Elliot asks if she can live
her life like this, but she says Mark will never have to find
out. The car arrives and they leave.
Outside
the church, Annalise's car pulls up and she gets out. Sam,
who is late, arrives and kisses her and wishes her good luck.
Annalise tells him to get inside so she can make the big entrance.
Inside
the church, the bridal theme begins, and Mark stares up at
the crucifix. Phil looks smug in the back row, as if he can
predict what's going to happen. As Annalise walks down the
aisle, Mark gets more and more agitated, and in the end walks
down to meet up with Annalise and tell her, in front of everyone,
that he can't marry her.
In
the office, Sam is yelling at Bianca about how much he hates
Mark for doing that to Annalise. He then tells her about Squirrel's
wild accusation that he is the father of her baby, and says
he didn't even sleep with her - but realises that no one's
going to believe him.
Lou
and Cheryl arrive back at 22, and Cheryl tells Danni and Brett
that she saw Lou with another woman. Lou tries to tell Cheryl
who the woman actually is, but she won't shut up. He then
blurts out that she is his daughter.
Mark
and Annalise are sitting in the church. Mark says that he
can't marry Annalise, or anyone for that matter. He said that
everything came together today, and that he felt, for the
first time, that he knew himself. He tells Annalise that he's
going to become a priest.
