Wrestlers, stalkers and a heated moment in a sauna – just your average week in Erinsborough…

A dinner between Karl, Izzy and Paul looked like bringing about an end to the jealousy that had caused problems for them, until Karl mentioned Paul’s kids. This was enough for Paul to storm out, accusing Karl of deliberately antagonising him. As Karl left for Sydney the following day, Izzy went to the gym, where she bumped into Paul and the two of them ended up in the sauna together. As Izzy stood up to add some more steam, her towel came off and the moment nearly got even steamier, until Boyd happened to walk in. Later on, Paul impressed Izzy as he dealt with the arrogant interior designer, Cameron, hired to kit out the new bar. Paul quickly propositioned Izzy, inviting her back to his suite at Lassiter’s, but she managed to fight temptation once again. Meanwhile, Paul had his eye on another local lady, Liljana. In an attempt to get her completely on his side, he offered her the job of managing The Helen Daniels Trust, an organisation he’d set up in his grandmother’s name, which provided grants for needy charities. Lil was delighted to accept the position and it looked like, even if he couldn’t get Izzy, he was going to find someone else fairly quickly.

Connor was confused this week when a bunch of flowers arrived for Carmella and later, some perfume was left in her bag. He immediately suspected it to be another of Lucia’s tests for him, but she denied any knowledge of it. Connor then threw away the flowers and perfume, realising that something strange was going on. When newcomer Dylan Timmins started showing a strong interest in Carmella, after her picture appeared on the front of All Her magazine, Connor wondered if he could be the culprit. When a letter arrived for Carmella, stating that the writer enjoyed watching her and smelling her, they called in Stu. He explained that there wasn’t really much that the police would be able to do, since the person hadn’t even shown themselves. Nevertheless, following a couple of strange visits from the Timmins brothers, Connor decided to warn Dylan off his girlfriend. Dylan was also out to prove himself when Paul Robinson began voluntarily teaching business studies at the school.

Toadie found himself a secret new hobby as he began his first wrestling bout as The Lawman, with only Lyn in the audience knowing his true identity. At his first match, he won and was elated enough to make plans for his next attempt. Things got a little tricky though, when Kev Carnage, his next opponent arrived at the house and explained that it was his turn to win, so Toadie would have to take a fall. He wasn’t thrilled about it, and almost didn’t go through with it, but Lyn convinced him that it was all part of the pantomime and they found a way for Toadie to save his dignity as he stuck his foot out of the ring. This caused Stingray to push it back in and, moments later, Toadie apparently lost his concentration and the bout.

Elsewhere, Stuart was back at work and enjoying his new role within the station. He also wanted to try and prove his worth by stealing a plot from The Simpsons and using the promise of a free jet ski to lure wanted criminals down to the community hall. Remarkably, the plan worked in a couple of cases and Stu was left on a high after his day’s work. However, as he and Sindi walked home through the park, they were attacked by some thugs, determined to get their own back. Following this incident, Stuart was left lower than ever, feeling that he couldn’t even defend his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Boyd was also beginning to alienate himself as he agreed to enter a junior bodybuilding competition and his eating habits grew more obsessive. As Susan offered her support should he ever wish to return to the school, he told her to mind her own business. By the end of the week, a concerned Sky forced her boyfriend to eat some cake in front of her and prove that he hadn’t changed that much. However, later in the afternoon, Summer caught him acting oddly in the backyard and asked if he’d been throwing up. He told her that he hadn’t, and she’d be in trouble if she told anyone the opposite.

Also this week, Lyn and Susan finally managed to repair their friendship after falling out over the issue of Susan helping her mother to die, Dylan got himself in more hot water when he let some dogs out of the dog catcher’s van, Lou and Harold had a falling out over the issue of selling alcohol at their planned general store, while Max finally realised that he needed help over his anger issues and life coach Lyn was the person to push him in the right direction.
