The past continued to haunt the present, in more ways than one this week…

Following Janae’s encounter with Chris Cousens, Dylan kept up his mission to persuade her to report it to the police so that no other young girls would get into possible trouble. Janae was unsure, but finally did the right thing. However, she was still upset that she and Mike were no longer ‘together’ and did everything she could to try and win him back, even by implying that sex was on the cards. Indeed, the pair had unprotected sex and Mike even refused to visit the pharmacy with her the next day. Dylan, meanwhile, had no qualms about spilling the beans to Boyd about his kiss with Sky and also informing him that everyone knew about his infidelity with Serena. This led to Sky and Boyd deciding to split up, although they would always be good friends. Boyd’s only condition was that he gain assurance from Sky that she wouldn’t have any involvement, relationship wise, with Dylan. Boyd, however, wasn’t banking on the lavish attention Janae was forcing upon him following her second break up with Mike!

The Bishop household was full of emotions and anger this week once again as David finally put two and two together and most definitely found the right answer in believing Paul was the cause of his recent spate of bad luck. Determined to confront him he stormed into Lassiter’s reception and landed him with a neat right hook! Although Paul denied any knowledge of what he was being accused, David set about trying to persuade Liljana that Paul was bad news and was deliberately trying to break the family up. Things couldn’t get much worse for David, and so when Toadie had to give him his notice upon the reopening of the law office, he understandably felt his world was crumbling around him. Despite a nasty fall from a stepladder at No.28, for which Sindi had a plausible explanation to account for a slippery rung, Lil wasted no time in falling straight back into Paul’s arms and they set off to his private yacht and consummated their affair. Serena, vowing never to forgive her mother for walking out on the family, even took a joyride in Dylan’s car, and couldn’t believe the nonsensical nature by which she was brought home with no criminal charges enforced, and yet her innocent father was almost jailed.

Bobby’s presence in town was still causing unease for Max, despite everyone else’s glowing reports! Indeed, Lyn and Susan were the latest to fall under his father’s spell and Lyn revealed she enjoyed her chat with him and Susan even went on an all night date! Indeed, Susan was quite taken by Bobby’s charm, but she did express unease when he came back to her house in the morning and she realised the man she had spent the whole night with was the father of her ex husband’s mistress. Stephanie also had reason to be grateful to Bobby when he gave her the thousands of dollars he had one during his night out with Susan gambling to use for an appeal hearing against her conviction. Steph was delighted, and despite Max’s original reservations that he was trying to buy affection, they agreed Steph’s innocence and freedom was more important than letting the past stand in the way.

Elsewhere in sunny Ramsay Street, Bree and preparations for the spelling bee were going well, despite Janelle’s over enthusiasm once she realised the monetary value of the prize fund! In fact, Bree’s nerves stayed at bay during the school final and she won, making it through to the next level. Lou took up a new hobby at Erinsborough High by playing a game with the kids in which he took on a new persona and dressed in pagan costume and Connor decided to join in with the wrestling phenomena sweeping No.30 by taking on the guise of ‘The Shamrock’. The Ramsay Street residents are no doubt as keen as the viewers to see Connor’s entrance into the ring…

Notes: The final stage of the redevelopment of Lassiter’s Complex was completed this week with the reopening of the Medical Centre combined with an larger law practice.
