It was a week that saw the ending of many feuds, and the end of an era…

The Hoyland’s joy over the birth of baby Charlie was overshadowed this week by Steph’s impending cancer treatment, and whilst the surgery seemed to go well, Karl told Max & Steph that they would have to wait for the pathology results to know for sure, and that Steph would still need as much radiation therapy as she could take. In between visiting Steph at the hospital and looking after Charlie, Max was shocked when Izzy revealed that she had seduced Ned and someone was blackmailing her with security footage from the bar. Taking the advice of her elder brother, Izzy told Paul, leaving Lou and Harold forced to hand over The General Store, but whilst Harold tried to embrace his retirement, Lou on the other hand seemed adamant to get the General Store back.

Paul forgave Izzy for seducing Ned, telling her that his life is worthless without her in it, but he wondered if their relationship was ever going to be more than one-sided after Izzy continued to struggle to say she loved Paul. Dylan was disappointed when Paul only offered him a joint management position of The General Store with Elle, but Paul told him that he wanted him to work as a team with Elle, and running two businesses is more of a challenge than running one on your own. Paul was left feeling helpless when Izzy was mugged right in front of him outside The General Store, and Stuart & Ned retrieved her bag and tried to regain some pride by smugly telling Ned that Izzy had been lying to him all along, about her feelings for him and Paul’s brain tumour. Paul’s plan backfired however, when Ned told him that Izzy couldn’t get enough of him, and kept coming back for something more than she could get from Paul.

After both Katya & Susan getting off to a fairly rocky start with the family court representative, the Kinski vs. Kinski custody battle was finally resolved this week, as Susan decided to relinquish her claim on Rachel & Zeke, on the condition that she stayed an important part of their lives. Toadie’s warnings that without mentioning Katya’s past to the family court, she will lose custody of the kids, Susan decided to stand by her principles, and keep the findings of the P.I. report into Katya a secret.

Still feeling inadequate, Dylan changed Sky’s painting of him using Bree’s oil pencil, claiming he was just making adjustments to the proportion. His envy of Ned was made worse when Sky went to art class again and by the end of the week, Sky wondered if she and Dylan were growing apart. At art class, Sky clashed with her new tutor, Jean-Pierre Valasco as he criticised her artwork after she complained about him extending the class causing her to miss a lecture.

Elle forgave Ned for breaking up with her in the way he did, but little did she know that the person he cheated on her with was Izzy, and as Paul taunted Ned & Lou, it became increasingly likely that Elle would find out. Stingray worried about Kim’s new business venture, but Kim told him that he would stop if he even suspects the slightest hint of trouble, but Stingray was still wary, however Janelle was ecstatic when Kim presented her with the money he had earned from his business venture, but little did she know that it was DVD’s and not Dyl-dogs that brought in the bacon.

Meanwhile, Janelle discovered the truth about Angie & Kim, nothing happened and finally revealed the reason behind her feud with Angie, she was angry with her for taking away Big Kev, but as Janelle ended feud, Angie started another. Charlie’s birth left Janae feeling broody, which made Boyd feel increasingly uncomfortable, but by Friday, it was a clucky Janelle who left Kim squirming at the suggestion of child number seven. At the thought of this, Kim consulted Karl about a vasectomy.

Also, Jenny teased Karl about his limited haunts, The General Store & Scarlet Bar, whilst there relationship seemed to be going smoothly, in several dates. Karl showed another rare moment this week, as the usually frugal doctor ordered a banquet for he and Jenny at the General Store to try to help his old friends out and Susan struggled to hide her feelings when she saw Karl & Jenny kissing in The General Store, as he began to make Jenny his priority.

Finally this week, Stuart & Ned introduced Connor to a Parker tradition, the carbeque, but ended up reminding him of Serena. Janelle received the first copy of The Bogan’s Tipped Hair, and discovered that is had been entered in a book prize contest and Bree decided to research her DNA for her school science project.
